LG likely to announce Optimus 3D next month

A new report from Dutch mobile enthusiast blog All About Phones coupled with a suggestive event invitation points to a February announcement of LGs rumored 3D smartphone. LG on Tuesday circulated an invitation to press and bloggers for an event that will be held in Barcelona during this years Mobile World Congress. While the invitation does not mention the LG Optimus 3D by name, it does picture an unannounced LG Optimus smartphone above the words, Into the New Dimension. In addition,All About Phones points out that Carphone Warehouses Dutch contingent briefly and accidentally posted a placeholder for the LG Optimus 3D, before later pulling it from the site. The Optimus 3D is expected to include a glasses-free 3D display panel similar to the ones used by the Nintendo 3DS, though additional specs are unknown at this time.
