Chinese Browser Company Creates National Mobile Internet Innovation Center

Chinese technology company UC has announced that it has teamed with the National Software and Integrated Circuit Public Service Platform in the establishment of the first national mobile Internet application innovation center in China.This is also reportedly the first industry research organization co-founded by a national public service platform and a business unit in the Chinese mobile Internet industry.After the founding of the new mobile Internet application innovation center, it will first start special research on the complicated mobile Internet environment and terminal environment in China, as well as the mobile Internet software quality, aiming to provide suggestions to the government for the development of the quality of mobile Internet software and the entire mobile Internet industry.The innovation center will achieve its goals in three aspects. First, CSIP and UC will jointly implement the research on the mobile Internet industry, including the classification of mobile Internet businesses, technology development trend, and cloud computing. Next, the two parties will take advantage of their existing resources and brands to establish a mobile Internet platform that combines software development, application, and promotion. Finally, the two parties will implement cooperation in major technology areas.As a strong application service provider in China, UC launched its core product UC Browser in April 2004. This product now can run on almost any mobile platform, including Android, iOS, BlackBerry OS, Symbian, WinCE, bada, Java, MTK, and Brew. By March 2011, UC Browser has served more than 150 countries and regions, and got more than 700 million downloads. Every month, 200 million users visit 60 billion pages through UC Browser.
